Why take part?

1. To boost productivityBest Employers 2025

Engaged employees are more productive and willing to go the extra mile. Our survey gives you tailored, actionable recommendations you can use to build and enhance this engagement. They’ll also help you drive productivity and performance.

Plus, you’ll get access to expert speakers who’ll inspire you with simple but effective strategies.

2. To strengthen recruitment

Your employer brand is crucial. Positive employee experiences can only improve it, making it easier to attract top talent. Being part of Best Employers shows existing and potential employees that you value and encourage their thoughts and opinions. And that you’re willing to use them to build a better workplace.

If your organisation gets a particularly high engagement score, we’ll invite you to apply for an accreditation. You could even win an award, which will showcase you as an outstanding employer.

You’ll also get a free 30-minute employer branding strategy session from one of our partners.

3. To improve retention

The cost of replacing a single employee can come to over £25k. That makes reducing turnover vital for business success.

Taking part in Best Employers helps build a culture of open communication and transparency. This will give your employees a sense of purpose and belonging, and create a more committed workforce. One that’s more likely to stay loyal to your organisation, and is invested in your mission and goals.

4. To become part of a supportive network

Since it started in 2012, Best Employers has created a community of like-minded organisations across the east. Together they support and challenge each other, sharing insights, benchmarking their progress and growing as leaders.

Best Employers 2025 starts with a launch conference in March, and ends with a celebratory awards ceremony in October. Both events are a unique chance to network with companies that share your values.

These events also feature high-profile thought leaders and speakers from organisations already making the most of the programme. They’ll give you actionable insights and strategies to refine your employee engagement and enhance your business performance.

5. To give back to the local community

Best Employers is a not-for-profit programme. By donating money from entry fees and ticket sales for events, we’ve raised over £56,000 for regional charities.

This year we’ll be donating this money to Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. This impressive organisation helps people in Cambridgeshire with advanced serious illnesses or life-limiting conditions, as well as those in need of end-of-life care.

Local charities can take part in Best Employers for free, and Arthur Rank has done just that for many years. We’ve chosen them as our charity partner because they’re a powerful advocate for employee engagement – both in their organisation and in the charity sector as a whole.
